Konark Sun Temple is a
13th-century CE Sun temple at Konark about 36 kilometres from Puri on Odisha's coastline, India. It was got built by King Narasingha Deva I of
the Eastern Ganga Dynasty about 1250 CE. It is dedicated to the Hindu Sun God
Surya. The statue in the photo adorns the entrance to the National Museum in
New Delhi, India.
