'Dilwara Tmple, Mt. Abu, Rajasthan, India (1031 A.D. to 1231 AD) - by K J S Chatrath

I visited the Dilwara Temple a few months back. It is a group of five temples and is located in Mount Abu Nagar of Sirohi district of Rajasthan.
These temples were built between the eleventh and thirteenth centuries.

This magnificent temple is dedicated to the tirthankars of Jainism.

In the temples of Dilwara, the ‘Vimal Vaasahi Temple’ is the oldest dedicated to the first idol, which was built in 1031 AD.

The ‘Lun Vaasahi Temple’, which is dedicated to the twentieth tirthankar Neminath, is also very popular. This temple was built in 1231 AD by two brothers named Vastuppal and Tejpal.
 Sheer marble!
