The Bhojpur Mahadev Temple, Madhya Pradedsh.......by K J S Chatrath
I few years back I visited an impressive half built Shiva temple in Madhya Pradesh.
The Bhojpur Mahadev Temple, also known as the Bhojeshwar Temple, is an incomplete 11th century temple dedicated to Lord Shiva , located about 28 kms from Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh, India.
It is renowned for its massive Shiva Lingam, which is over 7.5 feet tall and carved from a single stone.
The
temple is an excellent example of 11th-century Indian architecture and
is a protected monument under the Archaeological Survey of India.
